Quality Assurance Provisions for Purchased Materials

M-Wave Design's Quality Provisions Statement (Form QF-310, Rev C) defines the mandatory quality assurance requirements that govern all materials and services purchased by M Wave Design. It serves as a foundational element of every purchase order, ensuring that suppliers maintain the standards necessary to support M Wave Design’s commitment to quality, reliability, and regulatory compliance.

Suppliers are required to implement and maintain a Quality Management System consistent with recognized industry standards, ensuring full adherence to all purchase order provisions. The provisions outline expectations in key areas such as inspection systems, certification of conformance, traceability, record retention, process control, nonconformance management, and counterfeit part prevention.

Unless otherwise stated, the following clauses apply to all purchase orders: Q1 (Surveillance), Q5 (Certification of Conformance), Q6A (Record Retention), Q8 (Nonconforming Material), Q9 (Item Identification), and Q11 (Packaging Requirements).

The document also details specific provisions addressing:

  • Source and Government Inspections (Q2, Q12)

  • Raw Material Certifications (Q7A–Q7B)

  • Calibration and First Article Inspections (Q13–Q14A)

  • Process and Supplier Controls (Q15–Q16)

  • ITAR and DFAR Compliance (Q17–Q18)

  • Prohibited Materials and FOD Prevention (Q19–Q20)

  • Change Management and Counterfeit Prevention (Q21–Q22)

Together, these provisions form the cornerstone of M Wave Design’s supplier quality assurance framework, ensuring that all delivered materials and components meet design, safety, and performance expectations. Nonconforming materials are subject to rejection or corrective measures as deemed necessary by M Wave Design.
